Tibetan Om Mandala Singing Bowls

The Tibetan Om Mandala Singing Bowl features the the mandala that is centered with the first syllable ཨོཾ (Om), taken from the ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ (Om Mani Padme Hum) mantra, symbolizing universal energy and mindfulness. The syllable is in Tibetan language.

The ཨོཾ (Om) remains a consistent element in the centre of the Mandala, while the central part is surrounded by either of the combinations of:

• The eight auspicious Buddhist symbols - the lotus, the endless knot, the golden fishes, the  parasol, the victory banner, the golden treasure vase, the white conch shell and the wheel
  
• The 12-year animal cycles - mouse, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig
  
• The Buddhist sacred mantras
  
• The Tibetan symbols and motifs

Each of the singing bowls is a unique, handcrafted piece, beautifully blending these symbols to create a spiritually meaningful and visually striking design. The singing bowl is meticulously hand-hammered, tuned, polished, and etched with intricate detail by our Newari artisans in Nepal. The sound of the bowl is tested thoughtfully to meet the highest standards. It takes a long time to craft the singing bowl. It is made of very high-quality bronze.

While the Tibetan Om Mandala is the central design element located in the inner center of each singing bowl, the etched designs on the inner and outer walls, as well as the outer surface, could vary from bowl to bowl as it embodies the artists' natural creativity, reflected in every piece they craft.

The singing bowl measures in the range of 19-22cm in diameter, weighing in the range of 1.2-1.4kg. The singing bowl set includes a traditional wooden mallet striker and a soft cushion for its support.
