Description

Our handmade singing bowl features a detailed Thangka design of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of wisdom in the Buddhist tradition, on its inner base. Often shown with a flaming sword, he symbolizes insight that cuts through ignorance. His sacred mantra oṃ arapacana dhīḥ, is chanted to awaken mental clarity. According to legend, Manjushri drained a great lake to form the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, revealing the sacred Swayambhunath Stupa.

The bowl is richly etched with Tibetan symbols, sacred motifs, and repeating Mandalas across its inner and outer surfaces, including the base. The colourful designs are inspired by traditional Thangka Arts, which plays a key role in Tibetan meditation and storytelling practices.

The bowl is made of high quality bronze and handmade by skilled Newari artisans using traditional techniques, giving every piece its own unique character. The sound it produces is rich, deep, and resonant — ideal for meditation, yoga, sound healing, stress relief, or as a meaningful decorative item in your home.

These singing bowls are available in two sizes: 23 cm top diameter bowl weighing around 1.6 kg and 26 cm top diameter bowl weighing around 1.8 kg. Since each bowl is handcrafted, slight variations in weight and detailing are completely normal.

The singing bowl comes with a wooden mallet and a soft cushion for its support.

To learn a bit more about singing bowls, here is some information that can be helpful.

Sound
  • Our Manjushri Thangka Design Singing Bowl measuring 23 cm and 26 cm in diameters, rings at A note, which resonates with the Third Eye Chakra, promoting intuition, mental clarity, and deep meditation, making it ideal for sound healing, spiritual awareness, and energy balancing.

The tones of the singing bowls are based on the scale 432 Hz. The sound recordings are made by striking with our Red Wool Head Mallet Striker.

Care

To keep your handmade singing bowl sounding beautiful and lasting for years, a little mindful care makes all the difference. Gently wipe it from time to time using a soft fiber cloth with lukewarm or cold water. Avoid chemical cleaners or abrasive materials that could damage its surface. Store your singing bowl in a dust-free space, and always handle it with care. Never drop or strike it on hard surfaces. With a bit of love and attention, your singing bowl will remain a trusted companion in your meditation, sound healing, or spiritual practice.

My warmest recommendation. I had been looking for a singing bowl for a long time, but it can be difficult online. However, Prajaya made the decision and purchase safe and easy. When I had a few final questions, I wrote them an email, which was answered quickly and in detail. I have now received the bowl, and the quality and sound are excellent. THANK YOU
